Really good Spanish restaurant that was full of local families enjoying beautifully cooked food. Generous portions. Clams were delicious, Octopus perfect. Steak perfectly cooked with a delicious peppercorn sauce but the star of the show was the sucking pig, moist with paper thin crispy skin. Perfect

Absolutely love this restaurant! The food is always delicious (and so much we can never manage 3 courses so choose wisely!), the staff are really lovely and the atmosphere is terrific! It isn’t cheap but definitely one of our all time favourite places!

Spectacular place. Food is amazing, the specials always recommended! Main menu also very high quality. Service is kind, smiling and serving people with energy. I don’t really eat sweats, but this dessert menu was something I couldn’t miss. Highly recommended, every time in Marbella this place is must visit.

Best meal of the holiday. Food was out of this world, the steaks especially and cooked exactly as requested. The little complimentary touches were lovely as was the service - the staff work insanely, hard in such a busy setting but don't miss a thing. The gentleman who I presume is the owner is SO nice, greeted us like old friends, checked we were OK twice during our meal and shook all of our hands as we left even though he was run ragged. We also loved the atmosphere - it appears from afar to be a bit manic but it just isn't once you're sat down, it's authentic and perfectly lively. Not a cheap meal out at all, but absolutely worth every penny. We'll be back!

Little bit touristy but gorgeous. Basically a must. You sit outside in a little alley between houses and the food is really amazing. Sometimes musicians play Spanish songs near by. We go there since more than 10 years a few times each trip. I love the solomillo, my husband the lamb chops. I love it!

Klimatyczna restauracja ale jeśli chcecie tam spędzić czas zarezerwujcie wcześniej stolik. Klientów mają aż nad to. Ruch jest ogromny i idąc tam trzeba nastawić się że chwilę tam pobędziecie... dłuższą chwilę 🫣 Stoły rozstawione wzdłuż wąskiej uliczki między budynkami co dodaje uroku do spędzonego tam czasu. Dania... Mega smaczne i warte tego aby na nie chwilę poczekać. Kilka dodatków które wchodzą na stół w pakiecientez pyszne. Obsługa na najwyższym poziomie uwijają się jak mrówki, momio ciężkie i intensywnej pracy mili, uśmiechnięci i uczynni. Porcje są naprawdę sporo 😋

Perfect but you need to double check the receipt

We have been dining at Los Abanicos for many years and always enjoyed the food and service. However, our recent visit on August 7 was disappointing due to unexpected and unjustified charges. The “comensales” fee increased from €3 per person on July 25 to €5.50 per person in less than two weeks, with no explanation given. In addition, we were charged for items that have always been included with our meals in the past, such as sauces and accompaniments for the meat. As loyal customers, this sudden change in pricing policy without prior notice felt unfair and left us with a negative impression. Transparency with pricing is important, especially for regular guests who have supported the restaurant for years.

Incredible food and welcoming staff! It's a bit hectic with staff running around however once you're sat down, it's amazing! Stunning views and a wide range of food options! Lots of bread and extras throughout the meal!

Caímos de casualidad y felizmente lo hicimos! Una tarde de sábado de agosto buscando atracciones rurales pero a nuestro hijo de 5 años le dió mucha hambre así que paramos. Nos atendió Jorge, impecable y muy cordial. Hasta nos dió tips de cosas chulas para hacer en Benhavis! La comida y los aperitivos son generosos y deliciosos. Gracias Abanicos! Esperamos volver algún día!

Empezando porque al llegar a las 15.00 un camarero dijo: Van a venir todos a última hora.... Y nosotros teníamos reserva. Me pareció desagradable porque lo escuché. El resto del personal agradable. Aunque parece el Corte inglés y no zara, porque siempre hay algún camarero rondando al lado tuyo para ver si te pueden endosar alguna bebida más. Me agobia no tener espacio para comer sin que me observen. En cuanto a la comida pedimos chipirones que estaban buenos y cochinillo pvp 38 euros, super pasado, seco por dentro, la corteza demasiado churruscada. La guarnición coliflor y brócoli muy cruda para mi gusto. Arroz de hospital y en lugar de patatas fritas como a todos los humanos les encantan nos pusieron patatas gratinadas, super arriesgado para una guarnición. Si el restaurante fuese mío en lugar de tres platos de guarnición yo pondría más cochinillo, y una sola guarnición. Queríamos comer cochinillo no tanta parafernalia....y desde luego esa guarnición la daría a eligir o patatas fritas o pimientos asados. Vamos 75 euros y salimos con hambre dos personas..

¡Maravilloso! El servicio exquisito y la comida muy rica. Los camareros son muy amable y te recomiendan los platos destacados del día, además están atentos en todo momento. El pescado merece muchísimo la pena, y la ensalada de cabra está muy buena. ¡¡¡Volveré 🤗!!!

This is our favourite restaurant in the area, and indeed, anywhere! We’ve come here every time we’ve visited Banús for the last 15 years, so was our first dinner on this recent stay. We love Benahavis (even if the taxi drivers can’t agree on how it’s pronounced 😂), and always have a wander and a couple of drinks too… but Los Abanicos is amazing! We will be back.

Muy buena experiencia. La comida sobresaliente alto: hemos comido 6 personas para compartir todo, boquerones al limón, pimientos del piquillo rellenos, tartar de atún, croquetas caseras y jarrete. Cada plato a cual más espectacular, se nota la calidad de los productos, igual que la delicadeza en el cocinado y la profesionalidad. Además te ponen distintos panes con mantequilla, paté y tomate, exquisitos también. De la atención, solo apuntar que todos los camareros atentos, amables, serviciales, profesionales al 100%. Altamente recomendable.

Food was simply amazing. We have a salt bake dorada and a steak. It was accompanied by rice potatoes and vegetables. There was no thing that I will call my last favorite. Overall great experience. It is no cheap bit when you start eating by you can clearly see that this process are justified in quality and taste. Service excepcional.

Went for a dinner and the experience was superb. The tables outside in the street give a nice vibe and atmosphere. We sat inside and was just as perfect. Service was impeccable. None of that trying to wave down a waiter. They were on top of everything and extremely nice !! As for the food , lovely ! Yes can be a bit pricey but for a lovely dinner it’s worth it.

Die Lamm Schulter war das schlechteste, was ich je gegessen hab. Die PimientoS hab ich schon 1000 mal besser gegessen. Unterm Strich viel drum rum, Qualität schlecht. Sorry, ich hätte gern was Besseres geschrieben.

We were looking forward to a special lamb dish that was on the menu for the day, but it turned out to be a complete disappointment. It was absolutely inedible. Despite trying our best to eat at least some of it, it only got worse. When we mentioned this to the staff, nothing was done about it. On top of that, there was bread listed on the bill, even though it was presented to us as ‘on the house’ and we never asked for it. When we brought this up, they made no effort to resolve it or offer anything as a gesture of goodwill. In short, a dinner ruined by bad food, unfriendly service, and misleading charges. Definitely not recommended. Zero stars.

Popular restaurant! It’s because the food was amazing if I could only return to try even more things on the menu!! the staff were very friendly and helpful with meal choices! We ordered a bit too much but I was happy to try a lot and the next day I could have more! The street was beautiful and the whole experience was amazing! I’m glad it was recommended to us by a friend!!

We recently dined at Abanicos and overall had a good experience, with both the food and service meeting a solid standard. Certain dishes, like the turbot, were truly outstanding and showed the kitchen's potential. However, other dishes were fairly average and didn’t quite justify the high price tag. Some of the simpler and smaller plates were surprisingly expensive, which affected the overall value for money. Desserts continued this trend—decent, but nothing special, and again on the pricier side. The wine selection by the glass was particularly limited, offering just one red, white, and rosé, which was underwhelming given the otherwise extensive drinks menu. That said, the restaurant does offer a good range of spirits and malt whiskies, though these too were above the average price point. The atmosphere was enjoyable, with a pleasant setting and the option of outdoor seating. One thing we couldn’t help but notice was the lack of local diners. Living in Spain, we're familiar with what’s available at similar or better quality for a more reasonable price, which left us with the impression that Abanicos may be leaning more towards the tourist trade. In conclusion, we had a good meal and were well looked after. If you don’t mind spending more than usual, it’s worth a visit. However, for those seeking value as well as quality, there are better options to be found.

Выбирал хороший мясной ресторан, по отзывам все было отлично. И, начало ужина было очень хорошо, неплохой сервис, вкусные закуски, отличный выбор вин. Но потом пришёл черед мяса. Все три заказанные варианта не выдерживают никакой критики! Настолько плохо поиготовленного мяса очень давно не пробовал. Стейк был ни разу не медиум, и он был солёный, нет,он был СОЛЁНЫЙ !!! Барашка тоже соленая, утка пересушенная. Ощущение, что готовил ученик с очень плохой успеваемосью. Вечер был испорчен. Рекомендую с ограничениями.

We have been coming here for years and rate this as our no. 1 favourite restaurant. Food is always great , service excellent , so friendly . Always treated as a family or friend . Last night even escorted to our car with an umbrella as it was raining . Anyone giving less than 5 stars is mistaken . Enjoy .

El servicio muy profesional, pero hay detalles que convierten un restaurante bueno en algo cutre y cuando después de pagar más de 300€ por 4 adultos y 1 niño que te cobren 2€ por pedir que te pongan el cordero que sobró para llevar!! Es patetico…y más siendo clientes de siempre …. no volveremos más, hay muchos restaurantes en Benahavis para que no te tomen el pelo!!!

Tolle Location, wenn man mal ein wenig außerhalb von Marbella in schönem spanischen Ambiente essen möchte. Die Steaks sind sehr zu empfehlen. Ohne Reservierung geht hier allerdings selbst in der Nebensaison nichts. Nicht ohne Grund. Der Service ist auch klasse.

J’y suis retourné à nouveau avec grand plaisir pour y déguster en famille de magnifiques plats. Le seul hic à mon sens est le stationnement: il faut faire beaucoup d’allers retours avant de décrocher une place.

Mi experiencia fue desagradable debido al trato del camarero, después de ofrecernos un plato estrella para 2 personas fuera de la carta que nos comenta que cuesta 60€, el plato además de ser una cantidad justa unos 600g donde la mitad es el hueso y con una guarnición muy fría nos encontramos con la sorpresa que en la cuenta final nos cobra 80€ , comparándolo con un tomahawk de 1200g por 70€ fue un verdadero timo del camarero y encima al comentárselo se te ríe . Sin comentar que por una botella de agua de grifo filtrada te cobran 5.5€. NO VOLVEREMOS

Hemos venido con niños y para ellos croquetas, calamares, nugets de pollo caseros… para nosotros unos pescados espectaculares. Las raciones son abundantes con lo que es recomendable compartir si no sois comilones. Son rápidos, educados y muy agradables. A Este sitio es obligado venir! Just are here tonight. I can honestly say it was awful the worst service, and I’ve been coming here since 2008. Five adults sat down 7.30pm, it was a rushed meal, before I’d finished my starter the waiter was taking away the empty plates. No sooner had I finished within a minuet our main was put in front of us. Very disappointed

Don’t be fooled by this place. They are serving low quality meat and calling it chuleton de Buey, but it is in no way the premier cow of Spain. Low quality products, fooling tourists into paying €110+ for bad quality. Do not eat here.

We Had a booking at 7.30 with four children, ive been coming to this restaurant for 20 years but I won’t be returning, had a bad experience last time we came and gave it another shot, at 9pm we were still sat with our empty starter plates, they took on too many walk ins and prioritised certain tables who they clearly knew. When the owner came over after we asked to leave he didn’t even give me an explanation and was more interested in the other walk in tables, was still charge for all our drinks and breads etc that we didn’t ask for. I won’t be returning for sure

Me trataron muy mal en este lugar, me siento muy mal. El responsable de conseguirnos mesa me trató de una manera tan grosera sin ningún motivo, me preguntó la hora y tuvo la actitud impaciente y maleducada de sacarme el reloj con sus propias manos para mirar la hora y no tuve reacción, le mostré la hora en mi celular y se lo dije. Después de saber la hora, dijo que no había mesa, eran las 9:10 pm +- y solo habría mesa alrededor de las 10:00 pm, entonces un camarero muy educado me preguntó por qué no había conseguido mesa. Como estaba solo para cenar y dije que intentaría hablar para conseguirme un asiento, nuevamente vino el supervisor de mesa, el camarero intentó hablar con él y nuevamente fue muy grosero y dirigiéndose a mí directamente dijo más veces que allí. no habia mesa sino solo a las 10pm:00, pero tampoco me dio opciones de donde esperar o si debía esperar o si me pondría en espera de verdad, está bien no tener mesa ahorita, pero su el desprecio, el hecho de que me quitara el reloj de manera grosera, las respuestas groseras sin ningún motivo absoluto me ofendieron tanto que casi lloro allí mismo. ¡Nunca en mi vida me habían tratado tan mal!

Desde el pan hasta el postre se nota la buena calidad de todo. Todo muy fresco y sabroso. Recomiendo la ensalada de queso de cabra, increíblemente rica!

First off food was delicious, can't fault that. But the service was the worst service I have ever experienced here over the last 15 years coming here. Booked 4 days in advance and requested an outside table on the small street. Arrived on time and told them our booking, tried to move us inside 1st told them our booking was for outside. Gave us a table at the end of their patch. Waited 30 minutes for someone anyone to come to us with a menu offer a drink 1st, greet us as the waiter. Had to go get our own menus in the end. Then had to go stand in the doorway to the restaurant and ask can we get some service another 15 minutes later. Head waiter comes back to my table with me. Ready to order your food! No drinks/wine menu offered. Had to guess what wine they had. Just order your food as i don't care about you or your family was the impression. Food arrived very fast, before drinks even came. Food was lovely I have to say again. Nothing wrong with the mains. Had to stop a waiter serving the nearest tables 3 times on different occasions for our sides/water/ketchup. Every time items thrown down on table and waiter leaves. Not once did a waiter approach us again to ask how our meal was, sorry for the zero service, can we get you anything else. Had to go up to ask after another 30 minutes for the bill because we couldn't trust waiting for dessert to be offered anytime soon. Out like lightning to collect payment was the 1st time someone actually approched our table without us having to ask ourselves. No comment how was your food/service, just you owe us €185 now....! Couldn't give care less at my comments about the absurd and totally terrible service, just wanted me to pay and leave so they could fill the table with another sucker family. Never, never going back here again and will tell all we know about how bad they treat longtime and new customers now.

They have the best suckling pig possible and lamb shank. These are the best 2 dishes they have in the restaurant. The restaurant takes up a whole street, so the atmosphere is not the best, but book a table outside. However, people eat all kind of dishes. There is a lot of people, so the service is a little chaotic, however based on the amount of tables, jt could be understood.

Our experience at this restaurant was very good overall. Despite not having a reservation, we were seated inside promptly. While we had hoped for an outdoor table, those were unfortunately all reserved. A slight disappointment for me was the lack of a dedicated vegetarian main course on the menu. However, the staff was accommodating and prepared a lovely plate with vegetables and burrata, which was a nice touch. The rest of our meal was excellent, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that truly felt like a family-owned establishment. The service was attentive, and the overall experience left us satisfied and eager to return. Highly recommended for a cozy and welcoming dining experience.

Stunning experience yesterday at Los Abaniscos for lunch! So good we are returning today! And we will pace ourselves better for the large portions. Started with oysters and pil pil shrimp. Entrees: Rabbit stew, beef Wellington, lamb shoulder, lamb chop. Potatoes and mint sauce that accompanied were memorable too. Finished with egg custard dessert and mango ice cream. Every bite divine! Thank you to our star server, Angel, for being so patient and welcoming!

Todo muy fresco hace tiempo que no comíamos en un sitio con tanta calidad. Los camareros muy atentos y rápidos en traer todo con detalles extra como traer al inicio pan caliente, tomate y paté. El precio es alto pero se lo merece pagamos con bebidas incluidas(2) y una infusión de postre 96 euros

Siempre están atentos, además de los platos , te traen la guarnición a parte que suele ser arroz, verduras y patatas; acompañado de un pan con aceite para compartir espectacular (además de tu pan calentito propio) te traen también tostas para untar mantequilla y paté que también traen para degustar, bueno ....los postres tampoco se quedan atrás, una pasada la verdad ,a quien le guste comer bien,no puede dejar de visitar este lugar increible.Y ya con la cuenta, chupitos y un bombón helado de Magnum.(Yo no tengo fotos de los platos pero si las consigo os las subo, son abundantes y riquísimos, no me acuerdo bien de lo que pedimos,pero el pato estaba espectacular, todos lo probamos, los gambones eran enormes, pedimos un solomillo a la pimienta para compartir y nos lo trajeron ya en dos patos,un solomillo de terneraespectacular de grande y en el punto solicitado, 2 platos de cochinillo también increíbles. Pedimos para compartir ensalada de tomate. Salimos rodando de todo lo que comimos. Un 10, pero tienes que saber que vas a pagar por lo que comes, fueron 76€ la pareja aprox.

This place will never disappoint you. Concept is the same for many years but there is no reason for change. You need to manage how many courses you want to get. Starters, meat, deserts and very good wine. Will come again .

This place is usually exceptional and I have been an advocat and supportive patron for over 30 years however my recent booking was hugely disappointing. The prawns pil pil pil was divine, the Iberico ham was too. However given the importance of the celebration of a 50th wedding anniversary I can not for the life of me believe I had to send the beef wellington back three times, three times. I spoke to the maitre de who I do know personally and asked to speak to the chef. He then threw his toys out of the pram and said do I own a restaurant, well yes I do actually and if he was in ANY doubt he could just have used a temperature probe. Further castigation then ensued from the meat chef. Well, I will come and eat there then. Juan the owner then returns and I'm told I'm1a problem..sorry but I refuse to accept this arrogance and contempt for a customer. They have become arrogant and complacent. It is a shame as I love the restaurant and adore the staff but being spoken to like this is completely and utterly disgraceful. Our waiter then smooths things over . Hopefully, I will return but that will be after a discussion and an apology. Im bitterly disappointed as it left a really sour tas te and it ruined my parents' 50th wedding anniversary an occasion los abanicos should have ensured was completely faultless. Overall disappointing

Llevamos casi 30 años visitando este restaurante de forma esporádica, algunos fines de semana, escapadas... y siempre hemos salido muy satisfechos de todo, lugar, ambiente, comida y trato. Yo casi siempre pido el entrecot porque me encanta la carne poco hecha y como está no hay otra, sin hablar del cochinillo, paletilla etc. Todo el personal son de diez, pero especial mención a María José (la dueña) y al metre actual Silvio.

Comida y servicio excelente (gracias Ángel). Calidad y cantidad. El Cordero supremo. Osobuco y gallineta fenomenal. Las alcachofas imperdibles. Bajan en los postres: helados con trozos de hielo y flan casero pero no de huevo. La tarta al whisky bien. Volveremos.

Un sitio excelente, servicio muy bueno. La comida de muy buena calidad y las raciones muy generosas. La ensalada de aguacate y langostinos muy buena, al igual que el cóctel de gambas. El precio es correcto para el tamaño de las raciones. Tienen mucha atención con los alérgenos y te avisan en todo momento sobre los ingredientes.

I have been coming to Los Abanicos for over thirty years (!) and somehow it has retained a ‘fine dining’ quality of experience without the cost. We ate at this restaurant approx 20 years ago and we returned this year for a family meal. The food was wonderful (particularly the garlic clams) the service was excellent and the manager was helpful and patient with our indecision to sit inside or outside. I would definitely recommend inside, it's much cooler and less congested than outside and I would definitely recommend this restaurant which has and will continue to stand the test of time. One tip....book in advance!

Went on a walk in the nearby mountains. Then went looking for somewhere to eat. Los Abanicos was a fantastic result. We were welcomed warmly as I arrived and threw my badly accented Spanish around. Managed to get a table on a busy Sunday. The food was great. But MASSIVE portions. Luckily they know it and provide branded doggy bags. We had it for lunch the following day. The atmosphere is really good. A real Spanish family restaurant. I can’t recommend it enough.

Fantastic! Superb service and the food is incredible. We had a meal for our daughters 18th birthday two nights ago and it was lovely. I highly recommed the stroganoff, my wife the beef Wellington. Staff plated up one dish between two if necessary. Even though they're busy, staff really make an effort. We were a party of 11, and they served us all at the same time. We'll happily drive down from Ronda for dinner at this amazing place. If I could give them 6 stars, I would. Thanks for a lovely evening folks.

One of the best restaurants that we love with all our heart! Excellent service, quite large portions, and the food itself is incredibly delicious. I recommend the meat dishes, as well as the desserts: Tiramisu and Brownie (a huge chocolate cake with ice cream).

Espectacular comida.

Authentic, delicious restaurant. Well worth the drive. The pork is divine and the service first rate. A must if you are anywhere nearby, but booking is essential especially if you want to sit in the atmospheric cobbled street outside.

Great setting and delicious food. The grilled squid was the best I’ve ever had. I had beef wellington for main which was also amazing. Setting also great, down a thin table lined street. Not as cheap as suggested on Google maps but well worth the money, very high quality food.

What a great find! We arrived very late and despite being busy and buzzing with people, they accommodated us and our little dog. Pork is fantastic and portions are HUGE. Gazpacho is to die for. Best I ever had! Highly recommended!

One of, if not thee, classic restaurant of Benahavis. An impressive variety of starters, meat and fish dishes, all high quality and well executed- even more impressive considering how quickly the kitchen has to get food out to a bush restaurant. Even as one of the busiest restaurants in the region, the staff keep service quick and friendly - full points there!

Wir aßen heute spontan zu Abend und es war so fantastisch! So lecker & frisch - wir genossen es sehr hier zu sein und würden jedes Mal wieder hier hergehen! Es war zwar nicht ganz günstig, dafür gingen wir glücklich und wirklich mit vollem Bauch nach Hause :)

2nd time here. The first time was back in 2019 and the memories came flooding back when we entered. From the happy smiling faces to the food that makes you grin. Come on an empty stomach as the portions are huge! You will end up licking the plates.

Food was OK but nothing special. They are very busy and service is not on it's top (ordered strawberry margarita and got lemon margarita). Atmosphere and ambient very nice in Benahavis.

Great experience. Amazing customer service and great delicious food. The lobster salad was amazing,so fresh and juicy,really recommend.The mushrooms we ordered were great. The scallops were good (it really tasted like clam chowder with cheese on top 🤷🏼‍♀️) We’ll definitely come back to taste other things from the menu ;) If choosing from meat and fish..I would definitely recommend meat.
