Alvaro is a great photographer! He helped Me plan the perfect surprise proposal in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. He seamlessly blended in with the surrounding so as to candidly capture the moment. After the proposal pictures Alvaro even led us on a walk to take photos in other beautiful spots around the area. I 100% recommend booking Alvaro for your proposal shoot!

I was expecting what others said about Alvaro, so I booked 1h for secret proposal and short photoshoot... Well the final photos were very bad. I am not happy with outcome, basically 95% of the photos are nothing similar to what was presented by Alvaro. The composition of almost all photos is tragic, very often there is like 1 person destroying whole photo, composition, lining objects with the photo is really bad. These are things that can be avoided by retaking photo/waiting 10,20 seconds or just moving by little bit (we had locality with very few people). While purchasing package on Local Lenses there is a mention about "edited photos" i dont think any of the photos is edited a bit to the final outcome as was presented, straight from camera to web. It was surprise proposal, so first part was taking photo on one spot and 2nd part was going to another location to get 20/30min photoshoot where we said wed like to be guided for nice photos... the guidance happened very little like "stay here, stay there" I thought we have a nice position straight on first try all the time... looking at the results, we didnt. We also had a video that was supposed to be from gopro on camera, it was separate person standing next to Alvaro, from even worse angle so there in not Sagrada in the background as it was supposed to be. Luckyly i handed phone to stranger for backup video, it paid off. I gave a feedback to Alvaro, that we are not happy with outcome and i will leave it in WA chat only, not to post it to any reviews... Well, after receiving "So sorry for that" as reaction to my feedback and nothing else after paying 250$ for something i could do better asking strangers for free. I changed my mind. I am guy whos leaving as many reviews as I can, so i want to share the feedback. Not to be only negative, communication was great with Alvaro, he was there 5-10minutes early, but well thats it pretty much. I dont want to be harsh, but in my opinion this was worth like 2/5*.. giving 2* only for good ocmmunication.

Álvaro was great! I found him through local lens.com, he helped me with my surprise engagement while on vacation in Barcelona. We met via video call about month before the photo shoot date. He went over some location and logistics with me, which were really helpful. The day off we pulled the suprise of and he does a mix of poses but also caught some beautiful natural shots. My fiancé and I would definitely recommend.

Alvaro is an amazing photographer who puts so much thought into each shoot. He sent me the pictures within a few hours of the shoot and I couldn’t be happier with the results. He also put so much time and care into helping me plan - he responded to every message, gave me recs for the city and when my taxi driver made us 30 mins late to the shoot he reassured me that he was there waiting for us and didn’t charge us until the shoot started. Overall, he’s an amazing photographer and an incredible human - I can’t recommend him enough.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I know from friends and my fiancé how much effort it takes planning a proposal. Photography is a HUGE part of that… so I know I picking a photographer can be a daunting task, but my proposal photos couldn’t have been any better thanks to Alvaro. Firstly, based on what my partner told me, Alvaro was extremely helpful with choosing the perfect spot for the proposal, and was extremely helpful in helping him to locate it on the day too. This was especially helpful as it was our first time in Barcelona- so tourists, this is the photographer for you!!! It is very evident that Alvaro has had ample experience. I had no idea that the proposal was happening, and even when I saw a camera man when we arrived at the location, I didn’t realise he was there for us because he was already taking photographs of the scenery! So even his presence did not give the proposal away!!! Throughout our photo shoot, Alvaro made us feel extremely comfortable and was able to direct us in ways that felt natural and true to the moment. That was my favourite part of the shoot- it wasn’t rehearsed or we weren’t doing any unusual poses- we were just being ourselves. That was very important to me because the photos encapsulate our relationship perfectly. As I had no idea this was happening, I took my time getting ready and we arrived at 1:45 and Alvaro had been waiting at the location since 11am. Yet he was extremely happy and understanding of the fact that these things can happen during a proposal. Overall he really made us feel at ease, and I am already planning with my partner to arrange further shoots with him. I highly highly recommend him- his photos are just so beautiful, and everyone that has seen them, has fallen in love with them just as much as we have ❤️

Álvaro was amazing! We discussed in advance where I wanted to propose to my fiancé and he sent me a video showing me exactly where to get the best photos. He also advised me on the right time to ensure it was very quiet. During the proposal, Álvaro didn’t interfere or intrude on our moment and simply allowed the two of us to do our own thing, while he was in the background capturing it all beautifully. Within a couple of hours, I received a short video of the moment and immediate aftermath of my proposal and later that day I received thirty absolutely stunning photos, which we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Alvaro has made a huge impact on one of the best days of my life. I would highly recommend! Thank you very much (again!) Alvaro! You’re completely brilliant!

Alvaro is FANTASTIC! reached out a month before my planned visit. We discussed potential proposal locations and he made everything easy. Day before we discussed again quickly. Then the day of, he sneakily found me and boom we made the moment happen, all to the surprise of my fiancé. The next hour was great taking all kinds of pictures. And lastly he sent everything over in a couple of hours and even sent more pictures than I was expecting. Thank you Alvaro for making this day so magical. I hired Alvaro to photograph my proposal in Barcelona and I cannot recommend him enough! He helped me plan where and when would be the best time to shoot, and we are able to coordinate it in a way to keep it a surprise for my fiancée, right up until I was down on one knee. Even when the weather and traffic threw us some difficulties, Alvaro was able to improvise to make sure everything went off perfectly. And the final result is phenomenal - we love the photos that Alvaro took, and they were delivered to us quicker than expected. If you are looking for a talented and professional photographer in the Barcelona area, Alvaro Gonzalez is definitely your guy!

Alvaro is a phenomenal! We had our engagement photos done by him back in 2019 and made sure to find him for our "Post Boda" photos. If the venue let us use an outside photographer, he would have absolutely been our choice! He is very patient, pays attention to detail and does not disappoint. If you have a chance to book him, take it, you will not regret it!

When it comes to a photographer, Alvaro is a true professional! I did a surprise engagement in the Cadaques, Spain and Alvaro was super helpful in everything related to my big moment. This includes things like picking a location and time to make sure the sun was just right, great communication leading up to and on the day of my engagement, as well as sending me all of my finished pictures in a timely fashion. To say I was very happy with Alvaro would be a huge understatement. He easily met and exceeded all of my expectations and delivered on everything we talked about. Alvaro also traveled from Barcelona to the Cadaques to make this happen to me and that really meant a lot. If you're in need of a great photographer to capture the moment, Alvaro is THE guy! I was searching for a photographer to help with capturing the proposal to my girlfriend in Barcelona. Alvaro was the most responsive and had the best vision for the day. We exchanged 40 emails, going back and forth on locations, timing, logistics, etc. and he was very patient and professional throughout the entire process. As far as the actual proposal, he was set-up on location and captured the moment perfectly. We traveled to the Cathedral afterwards and then to St. Philip Neri Plaza. Again, the work was perfect. Much attention to detail. Also had a night shoot at the Magic Fountain de Montjuic. His vision for afterwards turned out to be amazing. Alvaro took such care to be professional, and the skill surfaced in a major way. We are incredibly happy with the photos, and would fully recommend him to friends and family going forward!

My fiancee and I planned a trip from the U.S. to Barcelona to tour the city and take our engagement photos. We found Alvaro online, we were obviously skeptical and had no idea what to expect. However, the experience we had and the photos he produced were AMAZING. He gave us a beautiful and fun tour of the city, all the while capturing incredible photographs. I searched for a photographer in Barcelona for, because I wanted a professional to take pictures while I asked my girlfriend to marry me. I wanted him to follow us for 2 hours throughout the city and take photos as my girlfriend didn't know that we were followed. It was a hard challenge, but now I got perfect photos. I didn't know Alvaro before, but now I can say that he is a great photographer and nice person, too. Thanks Alvaro for all your efforts and unforgettable memories :)

Profesional y de confianza, sin duda la mejor elección. Me daba muchísima vergüenza hacerme un book de fotos porque no lo había hecho nunca y porque además era en lencería, y la verdad que fue una gran experiencia, me sentí muy cómoda y lo pasé genial.
