Some moments mark a turning point. This photo shoot for Doula Wave of Love was one of them. It was more than a branding photoshoot—it was a meeting with myself, a tender and luminous reflection of what I carry and what I offer. Everything unfolded in my cocoon, a quiet, intimate space filled with presence. Then by the sea… where the breath is wider, and the waves speak the same inner language as the women I support. This setting was no coincidence. It reflects my approach—fluid, intuitive, and deeply nurturing. At first, I didn’t feel at ease. Stepping into the light isn’t something that comes naturally to me—my role is usually to hold space for others, to listen, to care. But Adèle, the photographer, created a safe, gentle, respectful environment. Alongside her assistant Lucie and Annicka, who took care of my hair and makeup, they held me with such kindness. Slowly, trust settled in. I was able to let go and simply be—fully and truthfully myself. Through this shoot, I wanted to share what Doula Wave of Love truly is: a space for emotional support, for body and soul care, for ancestral gestures like the rebozo, for words that soothe and silences that hold. A presence. An experience. This moment was deeply transformative. Adèle has that rare gift of seeing the most beautiful parts of us—even when we struggle to see them ourselves. I only have good things to say about By Adele photography! I had briefly met Adele some time ago, and when I needed branding pictures for my small business she came to mind as I know her to be friendly, approachable and patient and she was all of these things and more when it came to the photo shoot. I was very nervous as I am not one for having my photo taken and normally hate photos of myself! However Adele completely put me at my ease and I found myself even enjoying the process! When I saw the end result I was blown away by the quality of the images and also the variety of shots that we managed to achieve in a relatively short time. Adele is highly skilled at what she does and also communicates clearly to help you and support you at every stage of the process from the questionaire about your vision, to helping style and then the end result of choosing and downloading your photos. If you have the chance to use Adele for any of your branding photography needs do not hesitate!

Some of my favourite things about the photo session: She had brilliant ides of ways to show the behind the scenes of my business and to share my passion for what I do for my clients through her photographs. She was thoughtful about how we could really extend it to the maximum use of all the different outfits and the scenery. I can't recommend Adele highly enough!
